IT’S ALL GO IN THE GARDEN THIS SPRING! We’ve been planting and potting- up like crazy! We are getting all our seedlings and plants ready to be planted in the ground.
There have been all sorts of activities happening this spring including wooden compost bins being made, sculpture making, ‘potting up’ workshops and scrub bashing. We take our cake eating duties very seriously at Blaise Community garden, and have enjoyed many yummy creations over the spring.
We have also had a very exciting visit and talk by Heather Moore from ‘bee the change’ project, her talk was very interesting about the declining state of our bee’s in the U.K. and the rest of the world, She also explained how we are very dependent in our lives on bees ( one third of our food is dependent on bees) and how action needs to take place to safeguard our bees.
