Wednesdays & Saturdays 10am- 2pm. we very much look forward to welcoming you through our gates. come and see what our amazing volunteers do.
The garden is open from 10:00 to 14:00 to everyone on Mondays(Summer only), Wednesdays and Saturdays. You are very welcome to take a walk around, sit in the sun and just relax.
Equally if you’d like to get involved and volunteer you will receive a great welcome, a careful briefing of what is involved and the opportunity to become a member of the garden. You don’t have to come every week or stay for the whole session. You will be greeted by a volunteer co-ordinator who will tell you what you need to know and help you find a job to do. We stop for tea mid morning.
Do come and see for yourself.
WINTER MARKET 20th NOVEMBER
This is just to let you know that Blaise Community Garden will be hosting a Winter Market with stalls selling all kinds of goodies and craft items in just under three weeks time, on Saturday 20th November from 10am to 4pm.
Plenty of great ideas for Christmas gifts to suit all purses – or even something just for you! The Garden Cafe will also be open for hot/cold drinks, cakes, super steaming soup and delicious filled baguettes … yum, yum.
Do put it in your diaries, please, and we hope to see lots of you then.
You can share in some secrets this September, wandering into the wonderful world of allotments and orchards, community gardens and city farms. The Get Growing Garden Trail will guide you to the amazing plots of vegetables and flowers cultivated at Blaise Community Garden. The ancient kitchen garden has been rescued from dereliction and turned into a place where volunteers grow food, learn from one another and make new friends.
On Saturday 18th September you will have the opportunity to see this Garden of Eden for yourself,
complete with an 18 foot Echium Pininana!
We’ll show you round and serve you tea and cake. You may even buy a few plants.
Regrettably we have closed the garden to visitors in view of the Covid 19 virus spread.
Just as soon as feasible we will reverse this action as we really do value our visitors and their interest in the garden.
The Garden is still active with propragating and planting carried out by members, who observe the current Covid guidelines.
And we welcome new members who would like to help with all our growing and maintenance activities. You can download the membership application form using this link: tinyurl.com/evuv23nj
